FAQs
Spectrum questions, answered
What services does Spectrum offer?
Spectrum offers four core residential services: home internet, TV and streaming, Spectrum Mobile wireless and Spectrum Voice home phone. You can order one service on its own or combine several into a single bundle with one monthly bill.
Who is Spectrum?
Spectrum is the consumer brand of Charter Communications, one of the largest broadband and cable providers in the United States. It serves tens of millions of homes and businesses across 41 states over its own fiber-powered network.
Is Spectrum available at my address?
Spectrum availability is set street by street, so the only reliable answer comes from an address check. Call us or send your address and we will confirm which Spectrum services, speeds and offers are available at your home.
Does Spectrum require an annual contract?
No. Spectrum Internet, TV and Voice are offered without annual contracts, so you are not locked into a term or charged an early termination fee for canceling. Promotional pricing does have a set length, which we explain before you order.
How reliable is the Spectrum network?
Spectrum runs a fiber-powered network monitored around the clock, with technicians and local support teams in every market it serves. Because internet, TV, mobile and voice all ride the same managed network, service is engineered for consistent everyday performance.
How does Spectrum promotional pricing work?
New customers usually receive a promotional monthly rate for a set period, often 12 months or longer. After that, the price moves to the standard rate. We walk you through the promo length, the standard rate and any one-time fees so there are no surprises on your bill.
How soon can my Spectrum service start?
In many areas, Spectrum can activate service within a few days of ordering. Homes that already have Spectrum wiring can often self-install the same week, while new connections or professional installs depend on local technician availability.
I am under contract with another provider. Can I still switch?
Yes. Spectrum has offered a contract buyout program that helps cover early termination fees from your previous provider when you switch, subject to eligibility and a cap. We will confirm the current buyout terms for your order.
Who handles my billing and support after I sign up?
Spectrum provides your service, equipment, billing and technical support directly. You manage everything in the My Spectrum app or online account, and you can reach Spectrum support 24/7 by phone or chat.
Why order Spectrum through an authorized retailer?
As an authorized Spectrum retailer, we compare every option available at your address, explain promotions and terms in plain language and help you place the order correctly the first time. There is no extra cost for using us, and your account is with Spectrum.
Ready to see Spectrum at your address?
Tell us your address and what you need. An advisor will walk you through the internet, TV, mobile and security options available at your home, with no obligation.
Authorized retailer. Service is provided and billed by the selected provider. Availability and pricing vary by address.
