Do I need Spectrum Internet to get Spectrum Mobile?
Yes. Spectrum Mobile is available to Spectrum Internet customers. That pairing is what allows Spectrum to offer lower wireless prices and seamless WiFi handoff at home.
What network does Spectrum Mobile use?
Spectrum Mobile runs on the nationwide Verizon network for cellular coverage, including 5G where available, and automatically connects to millions of Spectrum WiFi hotspots to save data.
What types of mobile plans are available?
Spectrum Mobile offers Unlimited plans in several tiers and a By the Gig option where you pay only for the data you use. You can choose a different plan for each line on the same account.
Can I keep my current phone number?
Yes. You can transfer your existing number from your current carrier when you activate Spectrum Mobile. You will need your account number and transfer PIN from your old carrier.
Can I bring my own phone?
Most unlocked, compatible phones can be used on Spectrum Mobile. You can check compatibility before ordering, or choose a new device from Spectrum with monthly installment options.
Does Spectrum Mobile support 5G?
Yes. Spectrum Mobile includes 5G access at no extra charge on compatible devices in areas where the network offers it, and falls back to 4G LTE elsewhere.
Can I use my phone as a mobile hotspot?
Hotspot use is included on Spectrum Mobile Unlimited plans, with the amount of high-speed hotspot data depending on the tier you choose. By the Gig plans use your shared data for hotspot.
Can I use Spectrum Mobile when traveling internationally?
Yes. Spectrum Mobile includes calling and texting options for travel to many countries, and higher Unlimited tiers include more international features. International pay-per-use rates apply where coverage is not included.
How does Spectrum Mobile keep phone bills low?
Pricing is lower because it is offered to existing internet customers, there are no activation or line-access hidden fees on most plans, and data used on Spectrum WiFi does not count against By the Gig plans.
How do I activate Spectrum Mobile?
Once your order is placed, you can activate online or in the My Spectrum app in a few minutes. eSIM is supported on compatible phones, so many customers are up and running without waiting for a SIM card.
