How much is Kinetic Home Phone?

Home Phone costs $25/mo when added to a Kinetic internet plan. Standalone Kinetic Voice, which does not require internet, is $50/mo.

What features are included?

Every plan includes caller ID, voicemail, premium call forwarding and spam call alerts, with 17 enhanced features in total.

Can I keep my current phone number?

In most cases, yes. Number transfers are not always available, so we check your number before you order.

What is a digital home phone?

A digital home phone, or VoIP, carries calls over your internet connection instead of an old copper phone line. You still use a regular handset.

Does it work during a power outage?

Not without backup power. Digital voice needs electricity and a working internet connection. Kinetic recommends a battery backup and another way to reach 911.

What is Kinetic Voice Manager?

It is a web portal for visual voicemail, voicemail to email, simultaneous ring, call acceptance or rejection rules and Do Not Disturb.

Does Home Phone include long distance?

Kinetic Voice includes unlimited nationwide calling. International rates are set separately by Kinetic.

Will my home security system work?

Many alarm systems work with digital voice, but some older dial-up panels do not. Monitoring will not work during a power or internet outage.

Do I need special equipment?

A voice adapter is required. It connects to your Kinetic gateway, and you plug in your existing phones.

Is a landline still worth keeping?

Many households, especially in rural areas with spotty cell coverage, keep a home phone for clear calls and a dependable fixed number.
